Kushikbay Batyr

The monument is located at the 55th kilometer of the Karaul - Semey highway.

Abai, Shakarim, and Mukhtar were born in this land, which has become a sacred and blessed place for the Kazakh people, a land of sages and legends. Chingistau, the famous Chingistau, stretches for two hundred kilometers and gently descends to the west.

Ospan Lake

The lake is located 5 km away from Zhidibai.

Mamai Batyr

The monument dedicated to the small zhuz batyr is located in the village of Orda (150 kilometers away from the city of Semey).

the spring of Aygerim

Aygerim Spring - Aygerim was Abai's second wife. He was a loving husband. Her real name was Shukiman, and she was the daughter of Baishora. After Abai's father, Kunanbai, went to Mecca, Aygerim and his friend Erbol went to the village of Baishora to wait for his return to Semipalatinsk.

Kengirbay Bi Mausoleum

Kengirbay Zhandosuly (1735-1825) hailed from the Zhigitek lineage. He emerged from the Kengir River area in Southern Kazakhstan and became renowned as a distinguished bi.

Enlik-Kebek

At kilometer mark on the Semey-Karaul highway, atop a hill to the right of the road, stands the monument to Enlik-Kebek.

Syrt - Kaskabulak

Located two kilometers off the Semey-Karaul highway, at a westward turn, lies Kaskabulak. It is here, at the source of a spring, that Abay (Ibrahim) was born on August 10, 1845, in the village of Kunanbai.

Aqtamberdi batyr

Aqtamberdi Saryuly (1675-1768) was a hero of the 18th century who led the Kazakh people in their struggle for independence against the Dzungar invaders, achieving numerous victories. He was also a composer, poet, and a military leader.

"Zhidebaі-Borili"

The center of the Eurasian space, the heart of the Abay region, is the sacred Zhidebai land. In this sacred realm lie the remains of Hakim Abay Kunanbayev and his nephew, the poet and philosopher Shakarim Kudayberdiyev.

Shyngystau

The region of Shyngystau, where three great sages of our people — Abai, Shakarim, and Mukhtar — were born, is undoubtedly a sacred and revered place for the Kazakh people.

Shakir Abenuuly's Museum-House

Shakir Abenuuly was born on March 1, 1901, in the village of K'undyzdy, Abai District, now Abai Region. His given name was Mukhametshukir, as named by his father Aben.

Kokbai Zhanataev's Mosque and Madrasah

Kökbai Zhanataev was a student of the great Aбай and a continuer of the traditions of Kazakh literature. He was born in 1861 in the Semipalatinsk District, Mukyr Volost, in a place called Taqyr.

Kamen Orazalin Museum-House

The museum-house of the prominent Kazakh writer, Abay scholar, Mukhtar scholar, war veteran, and educator Kamen Orazalin is located in the center of the Abai District, in Karauyl.

Museum-House of Qunanbay Öskenbaiuly

The museum is located 153 kilometers from the city of Semey.

Nysan Abyz Mausoleum

The Mausoleum of Nysan Abyz is situated at the upper part of Medeu village, at the source of the Aktanbulaq spring.

Toktamis Batyr Mausoleum

Toktamys Lakauly was born around 1730 in Zhylybulek on the Karatau Mountains and passed away in 1797 from wounds inflicted by a poisoned spear. His remains are buried on Belbasar Hill, in the Shyngystau range, 12 kilometers west of the center of Karauyl in the Aбай region.

Historical and Local History Museum

The Historical and Local History Museum of the Semey Regional State Cultural Institution "Regional Historical and Local History Museum," located in the village of Karau, Aбай District, was opened on November 16, 2012.

Eraly Bi

Eraly Kengirbaevich (1792-1864) was a descendant of the Tobykty tribe. His ancestors were Olzhai, from whom came Zhandos (Zhigitik), then Kengirbay, and from Kengirbay, Eraly. His father, Kengirbay Zhandosuly (Zhigitik), was a respected and visionary leader of the Tobykty tribe who received blessings from Abai and the judge Tilenchi when he was seventeen.

The Omarkhan and Nurjamal Mausoleum

The Omar Khan and Nurjamal Mausoleum was built in 1997 to mark the 100th anniversary of the writer Mukhtar Auezov. It is dedicated to the writer's father, Omar Khan Auezov, and his mother, Nurjamal Absambetovna.
