Abay region

In 1845, the distinguished Kazakh poet Abay (Ibrahim) was born in the village of Aga Sultan Kunanbay.

Berli is the parental settlement of Mukhtar Auezov, evidence of a young childhood, a happy youth, a burning youth. In 1987, on the 90th anniversary of the writer, it was officially opened as a museum.

This cave, formed by natural phenomena, according to legend, harbors three lakes within its depths. Descending 120 meters via stairs, visitors enter its spacious expanse, approximately 12-15 meters wide and extending 120 meters in length. The cave's lakes maintain a constant water temperature of 4 degrees Celsius year-round, while inside the cave itself, the temperature holds steady at +7 degrees Celsius. This site is recognized among Kazakhstan's "100 Sacred Places."

It is an architectural monument within a complex built on the site of the burial of Abai Kunanbayev, Shakarim Kudaiberdiev, Abai's brother Ospan, and Akhat. It is located in the Zhidebai area of the Abai District, Abai Region, Kazakhstan, within the territory of the State Historical and Cultural Literary-Memorial Reserve-Museum "Zhidebai-Borly."

Kengirbay was a brave warrior who gifted his people with land and defended it alongside Abulai Khan.

The Enlik-Kebek Monument, also known as the Tower of Love, was constructed above the gravesite of Enlik and Kebek, a young couple who fell victim to a tribal court in 1780.

Along the Semey-Karaul highway, after passing the Arkalyk stage, at the right turn, at the 21st kilometer, lies the settlement of Akshoky, which served as the ancestral village of the Kunanbay dynasty.
